Comic Book Series
Set in the crime-ridden coastal city of New Bedford, UNFAZED: Monte Da Slayer follows seventeen-year-old Monte, a high school senior struggling to find his place in a city overwhelmed by violence, corruption, and fear.
Â
After receiving a mysterious sword from his grandfather, Monte discovers that courage is not the absence of fear—it's the willingness to act despite it. As crime continues to rise and innocent people suffer, Monte begins a dangerous journey from ordinary teenager to masked vigilante.
Â
Caught between his father's belief in the justice system and his own desire to protect his community, Monte must decide what kind of man he wants to become. Along the way he faces criminals, personal doubts, family expectations, and the weight of a legacy that stretches far beyond the sword he inherited.
Â
UNFAZED explores themes of responsibility, identity, sacrifice, and the difficult choices that define true heroism.
Key Project Highlights
01
Urban Crime World
New Bedford is a fictional coastal city inspired by the real-world city. The city serves as more than a backdrop—it is a living character filled with neighborhoods, rival groups, corruption, community heroes, and everyday people fighting to survive.
03
Cinematic Comic Experience
Designed with dramatic panel layouts, dynamic action sequences, and atmospheric storytelling, the series blends modern comic pacing with cinematic visual direction inspired by film, anime, and urban noir narratives.
02
Character-DrivenÂ
At its core, UNFAZED is a personal story about growth and responsibility. Readers experience Monte's transformation from an uncertain teenager into a symbol of hope as he wrestles with fear, family, and the consequences of his choices.
04
Expanding Multimedia Universe
UNFAZED serves as the foundation of a larger New Quest Studios universe. Future expansions may include additional comic series.
The Creative Process
Step 01
Worldbuilding & Concept
Every hero needs a world worth fighting for. We begin by developing the city of New Bethford—its neighborhoods, culture, history, crime, and communities. By creating a believable urban environment, we establish the foundation that shapes every character, conflict, and story within the UNFAZED universe.
Step 02
Story Design
At the heart of UNFAZED is Monte's journey from an uncertain teenager to a symbol of hope. We carefully craft character motivations, personal struggles, relationships, and emotional growth to ensure every decision carries weight. Through family conflict, friendship, fear, and responsibility, Monte's story becomes a reflection of the challenges many young people face while discovering who they are.
Step 03
Art & Media Integration
Once the story is established, we bring the world to life through dynamic comic artwork, cinematic panel layouts, expressive character designs, and atmospheric environments. Every page is designed to immerse readers in Monte's journey while blending action, emotion, and visual storytelling into a compelling comic experience.
